Michael
Wong - Founder and CEO
Mr.
Wong is a certified aquatic therapist with over 1000 hours
of training, with the intention of providing continual education.
As a certified massage therapist in San Francisco, he holds
an advanced license in Anatomy and Physiology, was a certified
personal trainer with 24 Hour Fitness, and has over 16 years
of bodybuilding experience.
SAIFTE was created through his experiences with injuries
due to bodybuilding, such as torn rotator cuff muscles and
torn ligaments in his elbow. Through these injuries, he
has always been involved with physical therapy. Prior to
receiving Aquatic Integration therapy, he received numerous
forms of therapy and treatment, quickly realizing how different
Aquatic Integration was from other forms of aquatic therapy.
Through studying at the Watsu Center at Harbin Springs with
the founder of Aquatic Integration, Cameron West, he became
a certified aquatic therapist and developed a true passion
for this form of therapy and believes the best way of treating
injuries is through preventive measures.
Having volunteered at UCSF medical center in the Emergency
Room and Pediatric Departments, Mr. Wong has always been
involved in working with children. When he thinks of preventive
therapy, he thinks about children because of his experiences
with conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, joint inflammation
and muscle spasms. The best way to serve the general population
is by helping kids suffering from these ailments. The faster
we seek to treat our kids, the better the outcome of our
future.
